Using the game

You may use icanname for personal, noncommercial entertainment. If you are not legally able to agree to these Terms on your own, use the game only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

Game rules and scoring

• Each day presents a category, and you choose how many valid answers you believe you can name.
• Answers are evaluated against a local answer pack. Unrecognized answers may also be checked using Wikipedia page information.
• Answer sets may involve judgment, spelling variants, regional terminology, or information that changes over time.
• peanutgames may correct categories, answers, scoring, dates, or technical errors when needed.
• Scores and streaks are for entertainment and have no cash value.

Fair play

Do not use automation, scripts, modified clients, unauthorized answer extraction, service interference, or other methods intended to manipulate results or disrupt the game. You may share your result, discuss the game, and play competitively with friends.

Ownership

icanname, peanutgames, their logos, visual identity, game presentation, software, and original content are owned by peanutgames or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you.

You may share the result text generated by the game. You may not copy, sell, sublicense, republish, or create a competing service from substantial portions of the game without written permission.

Availability and changes

The game may be changed, interrupted, suspended, or discontinued at any time. Daily challenges, accepted answers, scoring, and saved-data formats may also change. peanutgames is not responsible for a streak or locally stored result that is lost because of browser settings, cleared storage, device failure, a game update, or an unavailable service.

No warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, icanname is provided “as is” and “as available.” peanutgames does not promise that the game will always be available, error-free, secure, or that every possible valid answer will be recognized.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, peanutgames and its contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, scores, streaks, access, or enjoyment arising from use of the game. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Third-party services

icanname uses Firebase Hosting provided by Google and the English Wikipedia Action API provided by the Wikimedia Foundation. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies. peanutgames is not responsible for a third party’s service outside the parts controlled by peanutgames.

Privacy

The Privacy Policy explains local score saving and hosting-related information.

Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated as the game changes. The effective date will identify the current version. Continuing to use the game after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
